What cookies and similar technologies are
The rules cover more than traditional browser cookies. They apply whenever information is stored on, or accessed from, a person’s device.
Cookies
Small text files or values stored on a device. They can remember a choice, support a requested feature or help keep a website secure.
Similar technologies
Local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, device identifiers and other methods that store or access information on a phone, computer or tablet.
Why transparency matters
You should know what is used, its purpose, who provides it and how long it lasts before making an informed choice.
This policy covers cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and comparable storage or access technologies.
Our current public-site position
Bright Sky Homes has configured the public website without analytics, advertising or embedded tracking technologies.
Keeping this register accurate
We review this register whenever the website, its forms, security tools or providers change. Before a new technology is used, we will assess its purpose, update this page and provide any choice or objection mechanism the law requires.
If website technologies change
Any new technology will be assessed by purpose. An exception is not assumed merely because a tool is useful to Bright Sky Homes.
Strictly necessary
May be used without consent only where it is genuinely essential to provide a feature you request, secure the service or remember a privacy choice. It must still be explained.
Analytics and statistics
Will remain off unless consent is obtained or a documented PECR exception applies. Any exception must be limited to aggregate service-improvement statistics and include a simple, free way to object.
Functional and external content
Optional embeds or tools from another organisation will be blocked until the required choice or user action. The provider and effect will be explained before activation.
Advertising and cross-site tracking
Bright Sky Homes does not use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies. If this changes, this policy and the consent choices must be updated before any use begins.
Unless Bright Sky Homes documents that a specific PECR exception applies, optional technologies must stay off until the visitor gives valid consent.
Your choices
The public website should remain usable when optional technologies are refused.
No optional technologies by default
If optional technologies are introduced, they must remain off until you make the required choice. Simply continuing to browse will not count as consent.
Accept or reject clearly
A consent banner must make accepting and rejecting optional technologies equally clear and easy, without pre-selected options.
Change your choice
A persistent Manage cookies link must let you withdraw or change consent as easily as it was given. Previously set optional storage must then be removed where required.
Browser controls
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Browser settings are an additional control and do not replace the choices Bright Sky Homes must provide.
Third-party services and external links
A link to another service is different from embedding that service within this website.
External links
Direct links such as WhatsApp do not place that service’s cookies on this website. Once you follow the link, the other service applies its own privacy and cookie information.
Embedded content
Maps, videos, social media or other third-party embeds must be configured in a privacy-friendly way and blocked until the required choice or deliberate activation.
