Bright Sky Homes CIC was founded by a husband-and-wife team whose combined professional experience spans property and housing management, alongside the justice system.
Our interest in supported housing developed several years ago when our property work brought us into contact with a local charity working with people facing homelessness and other difficult circumstances. Alongside this, one founders professional work within the justice system as a barrister had reinforced our understanding of how housing instability and limited support can make it hard for people to rebuild their lives.
We created Bright Sky Homes CIC to provide safe, well-managed supported accommodation and purposeful housing-related support that helps adults regain stability and move towards greater independence.
Why Bright Sky Homes was created
We do not believe supported accommodation should be about simply filling rooms. Every resident should be treated as an individual, with clear expectations, agreed goals and support that has a genuine purpose.
We are building Bright Sky Homes carefully. Our initial focus is on adults who can live with a degree of independence but need consistent housing-related support to sustain their accommodation, build confidence and move forward.
Every referral is considered individually. We look at the person’s needs, the support we can provide, the suitability of the accommodation and compatibility with the existing household. We will not accept a referral unless we believe we can provide a safe and appropriate service.
As our experience, partnerships and capacity grow, we hope to support a wider range of people. We will only expand where we can do so safely, responsibly and with the right systems and specialist relationships in place.
