Our Support

Practical support shaped around the individual.

Every resident has different strengths, circumstances and goals. Our initial service is intended for adults aged 18 and over who can live with a degree of independence but need planned housing-related support to sustain their accommodation and move towards greater independence. We complete a housing-related support needs and suitability assessment and agree a support plan focused on the practical help required. Every referral is considered individually.

Six areas of practical support

Support is shaped by assessed need, agreed goals and the resident’s support plan.

Settling in and maintaining a home

Understanding the accommodation, house expectations, safety arrangements, repairs and shared-living responsibilities.

Budgeting, benefits and paperwork

Help to plan spending, understand bills, manage correspondence and keep benefit-related or housing paperwork organised.

Health and wellbeing connections

Support to register with local services, prepare for appointments and connect with suitable specialist or community support.

Education, training and employment

Help to explore suitable courses, volunteering, training or employment services and take practical next steps.

Confidence and daily routines

Helping residents establish structure, improve communication and build the practical skills needed for more independent living.

Move-on planning

Reviewing goals, preparing for greater independence and planning towards suitable longer-term accommodation.

What residents can expect

How support is delivered

Residents receive at least one meaningful one-to-one support contact each week. Additional contact and the balance of in-person and remote methods are adjusted to assessed need. Support may be provided in person, by telephone, video call or secure messaging, with regular in-person reviews.
Support contacts are purposeful and recorded. They are linked to the resident’s support plan, agreed actions and progress. Support plans are reviewed with the resident and updated when needs or goals change.

Clear about what we provide

Housing-related support

Bright Sky Homes provides housing-related support. We do not provide personal care, nursing, clinical treatment, detoxification, therapy, 24-hour staffed supervision, or emergency or crisis accommodation.
Where assessment indicates that a person needs specialist care or treatment beyond our service, we discuss this with the person and, where appropriate, their referrer or relevant services so that a more suitable setting can be considered.

Is this the right support?

Every referral is considered individually. Submitting an enquiry or referral does not guarantee an offer of accommodation. View our referral information or contact us to discuss whether the service may be suitable.
